Lensbaby Test
Today, i made some test shots with the new Lensbaby. Its a weird lens, but very cool. Also received yesterday a answer from Sony and i don’t think they even read my mail. They told me that the mirror lock up function is not available in the A200 and that i can use Manual Focus on M-Mode (yes, i wrote that in my mail). And the answer on the question about the firmware, they can only say that there is no new firmware yet (yes, i know, but i asked if there are plans to release new firmware).
New Gear
First photograph related of 2010 is bought today. It’s a new lens and not a normal one. I bought a Lensbaby Composer.
With the Composer, Lensbaby introduces a completely new lens, based on a ball and socket configuration that delivers smooth selective focus photography with unparalleled ease. Photographers simply tilt the lens to a desired angle and then focus with a manual focusing ring. The Composer stays in the desired bent position without requiring a locking mechanism and features the new Lensbaby Optic Swap System.
Only it doesn’t work that good with my camera. Because there is no chip fitted in the lens the camera locks the mirror. It’s only working on M-mode with Manual Focus. Already send a mail to Sony. Hopefully they will release a new firmware version to fix this (the A200 is already a old model, so i don’t count on it).
At this moment its too dark, so no photos right now.
And if you buy a lensbaby then you have to buy the Creative Aperture kit also:
